Description of the invention with claims and
drawings
Lateral screen position
Lateral
screen position in mobile phones,
smartphones, communicators is designed for easy data
entering on the keyboard with the vertical layout of symbols on the keyboard and
for easy data display to the screen in mobile phones, smartphones and
communicators.
Field of technology
The invention is the method of relative position of the keyboard of data
entering and the screen of display information in mobile phones, smartphones,
communicators.
Level of technology
In
modern mobile phones, smartphones, communicators there are three basic schemes
of relative position of the screen of display information and the keyboard of
data entering.
In
the first scheme the keyboard of data entering is below the screen of display information.
In
the second scheme the keyboard of data
entering is above the screen of display
information.
In
the third scheme the keyboard of data
entering is displayed on the screen of
display information (touch or sensor screen). The third scheme is mainly used
in smartphones and communicators.
The disadvantage of the first scheme of relative position of the
keyboard of data entering and
the screen of display information is that your fingers bend too
much when you enter data using the buttons,
the screen goes beyond the area of the palm, which often causes
the fall of the device because of negligent actions (accidental pushes). In the horizontal arrangement of the keyboard of data
entering and the screen of display
information (Fig.1) there is the difficulty to enter symbols with one hand when
the device is suspended.
The
disadvantage of the second scheme of relative
position of the keyboard of data entering and the screen of display information is that while the data entering on the
keyboard the arm partially overlaps the screen of display information, making
it difficult to read screen information.
The
closest analogue (prototype) of the invention is the European Patent
1 898 605 А1.
The disadvantage of the prototype is that after displacement of the screen in
the lateral side not all keyboard buttons located under the screen before its
displacement in the lateral side becoming available to the user of device.
Disclosure of the invention
The above-mentioned lacks can be eliminated to a large
extent by the lateral position of the screen described in the present invention
(Fig.3). The essence of the lateral screen position lies in the fact that part or the entire keyboard
(push button, sensor, etc.) based on the body of mobile phones, smartphones,
communicators is under a sliding screen, that is partially or fully overlapped
by sliding screen. If you want to use that portion of the screen, which is
under the sliding screen, sliding screen moves to the lateral side, with the
symbols on the keyboard are arranged vertically (the vertical layout of the
keyboard) with respect to the body of mobile phones, smartphones, communicators
(Fig.2).
When you move the screen into the lateral side the screen is not
separated from the body of mobile phone, smartphone, communicator. In this
case, unlike the first scheme, fingers do not bend much, because the keyboard
is not below the screen, but in the lateral side of the screen. In contrast to the second scheme fingers do not
overlap the screen of display information while entering symbols on the
keyboard, because the screen of display information is on the lateral side of
the keyboard while using the keyboard. The screen, while in the lateral
position in regard to the device body, may also be in the position which is
defined as the position of the lateral side and above the device body (Fig.4).
The vertical layout of the keyboard allows entering symbols with one
hand without supporting device (mobile phone, smartphone, communicator) with
the second hand. The screen, shifted to the lateral side, allows placing the
keyboard or its part under the screen on the body of
mobile phone, smartphone, communicator. When the screen is moved
into the lateral side, there is an opportunity to use the keyboard or its part
located under the screen.
The difference between a keyboard with a vertical
layout of symbols (Fig. 2) and the keyboard with a horizontal layout of symbols
(Fig.1) lies in the fact that in the vertical layout of symbols the
number of keyboard buttons or sectors (for the touch keyboard) in the
horizontal is less than their number in the vertical. The
ways of moving the screen into the lateral side can be different and are not
reviewed in this invention.
If the keyboard is a touch screen and symbols are displayed on it as
virtual icons there is an option of changing the vertical keyboard
layout for the horizontal one, for example, when the device is placed on the
table. And
the virtual symbol displayed on the touch (sensor) screen keyboard when
changing vertical layout in which it is fixed in the certain sector for the
horizontal layout of the keyboard, can be fixed in another sector and displayed
in it respectively.
If
the keyboard is a set of buttons, there are marking of symbols on the buttons
and/or near the buttons, e.g. letters and figures, both for the vertical and
for the horizontal keyboard layout. This option of changing the vertical layout
for the horizontal one is provided for the cases when the device is put on the
table.
Markings
and functions of buttons can differ depending on the layout, e.g. in the
vertical layout the button has the function of entering the letter “A”, while
in the horizontal layout of the keyboard the same button has the function of
entering the figure “
Implementation of the invention
The implementation of this invention is possible with the help of using
known technologies and technical solutions. The invention is implemented by
using an unknown from the technical level of relative position of the keyboard
of data entering and the screen of display information relative to each other,
namely by moving the screen of mobile phone, smartphone, communicator into the
lateral side relative to the body of mobile phone, smartphone, communicator.
The ways of moving the screen aside can be different and are not reviewed in
this invention.
Description of the drawings
Fig. 1 shows
a variant of the keyboard of data entering with the horizontal layout of
symbols (letters, figures and other symbols). Symbols and their mutual
arrangement shown at Fig. 1 are given as an example.
Fig. 2 shows
a variant of the keyboard of data entering with the vertical layout of symbols.
Symbols and their mutual arrangement shown at Fig. 2 are given as an example.
Fig. 3 shows
a mobile phone (smartphone, communicator) with the lateral screen position
while entering data with the keyboard, where 1 – a variant of the keyboard with
the vertical layout of symbols, 2 – screen, the size of which (A) can reach the
size of the keyboard (B).
Fig. 4 shows
a mobile phone (smartphone, communicator) with the lateral screen position in
which the screen is situated at the lateral side and above the device, while
entering data with the keyboard, where 1 – a variant of the keyboard with the
vertical layout of symbols, 2 – screen.
Claims
