Abstract. We present to interested Companies the patented invention of simplification of access to Internet resources, links on which can be widely applied by print media and broadcasted by TV and radio, including in advertising aims. Applying of short and catchy coded Internet links by traditional media is the effective way to converge traditional media with the Internet and to gain further competitive advantage.

Market review. Now, if it is necessary to publish in print publication links to information placed on one of many Web servers, we need to use Web address, which often consists of several tens of symbols. It is clear that it will be difficult for reader to obtain information, links on which are published by print edition, because he must enter this address through his Internet access unit without errors.

Even more difficult to remember or write down, and then relay such link to necessary information posted on the Internet network servers, using the visual channel of information, for example, TV or in the transmission of information where the main channel of communication is sound, for example, oral communication, telephone, radio, etc.

Description and advantages of the invention. This problem is solved technically simple by using patented invention “Method of simple access to Internet resources, placed in Internet, links on which are published in print and electronic editions”.

The proposed technical result is achieved in that short and catchy code is assigned to one or several links. Its entering opens window, containing one or several Web addresses, as well as any other text, graphic, video or audio information, including advertising.

       The proposed technical solution is of commercial interest for print editions, TV and radio, which, using short and catchy links, could actively reference in their publications and broadcastings to their own or any other Internet resources, which could contain advertising or other necessary information. Using this invention, print editions, TV and radio could considerably extend scope of their business in Internet (see examples 1, 4 and 5).

       The proposed technical solution is of commercial interest for electronic editions, because in process of printing electronic information it allows to save whole information, including information, containing in words and word-groups, which are links to Internet resources (see example 3).

       Besides, the proposed technical solution solves to a wide extent problem of unauthorized use of content on outside resources. Owner (or generator) of content does not prohibit, but on contrary encourages distribution of his information under condition of its integrity. After clicking on code word on site, which uses others’ content, there will appear the window, which contains not only information, which reader is interested in, but advertising placed by owner (generator) of content. So, demonstration of advertising placed by the owner of content (soft advertising, provided in fact by request of reader) becomes the payment for content. Furthermore, publisher could incent copying of content with advertising, sharing revenue from advertising with site, where his content was used. Appearing window could be supplied by HTML code, which allows to visitors (who entered code) to communicate each other both in common chat and individually. It will give the unique possibility to readers, and in future to listeners and viewers, to communicate with each other or with representative of advertiser on topic, they are interested in, without compulsory registration and installation of additional programs.

Legal protection of the invention. The invention “Method of simple access to Internet resources, placed in Internet, links on which are published in print and electronic publications” is protected by the RU patent No 2326433 (priority from 14.05.2007, published on 10.06.2008). International patent application PTC/IB2008/001950, which allows patenting the invention in any country of the world, signed the Patent Cooperation Treaty, is filed. The author and sole patent holder is the private person. Commercial interests of patent holder in connection with sale of right to use the invention are represented by “Scan Systems LLC” on the basis of Agency Agreement.
